Tournée displays provide both education and entertainment ranging from school demonstrations to all day spectaculars. We have extensive experience in working at historic properties and for the UK's leading heritage organisations as well as local authorities, community groups, and independent event organisers.
The content of our shows can be tailored to suit your needs and budget. Show content can include acting, archery, single combats and of course the main tournament where fully armoured knights of the fourteenth century fight for the honour of opposing political factions. For further details of what we can provide and to discuss your requirements, please complete our Booking Form below and we will respond as soon as we can.
Tournée carries public liability insurance for £5M, which includes cover for all combat demonstrations, archery displays, and all other elements of our presentation. Our policies and risk assessments are provided as part of the show contract, and are available on request.
All members of Tournée have a wealth of experience in re-enactment with an understanding of this period of history rarely seen outside of the academic world. Information and entertainment are the two watchwords of Tournée. We wish to bring the past back to life and show key elements of the Grand Tournaments that were so popular in medieval England.
Demonstrations of how the armour is worn and the reasons for the evolution of different styles of armour always prove popular. The squires of Tournée come into their own during these demonstrations, the knights being unable to equip themselves in their armour without assistance. Combat techniques using a variety of weapons have both an educational value and provide furious entertainment for old and young alike.
All of the equipment has been carefully researched and is as accurate as possible given the availability of materials and considerations to health and safety. Outside of our combat displays, we encourage our audience to visit us in our encampment to find out more and to touch and feel the equipment under supervision.
